My first impression was not good from entering The Grog Shoppe. From the start, the outdoor lighting was very poor. You could barely see the items on the menu even with the candlelight on the table. After about 10-15 minutes of waiting, the waiter took our order. We waited another 15 minutes just for the waiter to tell us there was no more chicken left, which were items my guest and I both ordered. You would think that if there wasn't any chicken left on a Saturday evening (around 7:45) that we would be notified upon placing our order. I was confused that it took 15 minutes after placing the order for us to be told there was no more chicken left. When we decided to leave, the waitress wanted to charge us for the one soda we ordered while waiting for the food. After we protested, she reluctantly let the charge go. I was very disappointed by this visit and don't think I will be returning any time soon. It could've been an off day for them, but first impressions go a long way. I didn't even get to try the food after being there for half an hour.
