The juicy PORK and brown well fried Festival I had was awsome and I am definetly going there soon

Also, the festivals are the best I have found so far in Kinston (and I live here).

Had lamb yesterday. Awesome!!!

Only real problem I had were the couple flies buzzing around the condiments (pepper, ketchup, mint jelly). Didn't see the flies on the stuff but the stuff was laid out in the open and uncovered and the flies were much too near for my comfort. Also, there is one common spoon in each condiment. Not the most sanitary way to dispense the condiments in my view.

Other than that, twice now they gave me yam instead of sweet potato (and vice versaon a different occasion). Didn't find out until afer I had driven off.

Overall however, it's a cool, affordable place to eat. I am definitely going back for more lamb!

Does sweetwood use msg in their jerk seasoning?

I visited Sweetwood and it's the best jerk chicken I've ever eaten...I had the lamb and, though underdone, it was very flavourful..I like the variety of meats they have and the service and price are good.

The place is nice and the food is also good... I am not local but I would recomend this place...

KBsnr. visited Sweetwood Jerk Center on many occasions and if you really like Jerk then it is the place to be.The food is ten star good,Big up Mr.B, You are the father of Jerk. I say no more.

I attended a function where sweet wood was a caterer they set up their Jerk pit on the spot and jerked up some of the best pork and chicken I have tasted for a long time, the men dealing with the jerking also did the serving and with their personalities they provided an exelent experience.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

i am the owner's son and to my point of veiw sweetwood is an amazing and extraodinary place to go to and it is unique in many ways. it really is one of a kind

I Visited, the Pork is definately something to talk about. However if u like your chicken seasoned, then the chicken may not be a good choice to try... it lacks salt and pepper.

I visited last night (11/11/09) with a group of 13. We received faboooolous service. The food was ambrosia.
I would go again and again. Keep up the good service.

Service gets a 2.5 of 5, the food 4.5 of 5.They even deliver.

Went there last night... great food and a very nice set up... food is as good as I've had jerk anywhere

Finally a rally great jerk place in Kingston... The food was absolutely fantastic! We were in a group and had pork, chicken, lamb, breadfruit, sweet potatos and festivals... all were superdeleicious, tasty and very healthy!

Not the best service, the food is something to be considered. If you like rare meat then its the place to go. The food also had no flavour.
